By Jason Sealock | I think most anglers will agree, this has been a weird first half of the year for fishing. Don’t get me wrong; it has been a good year so far where I have fished. Even January produced some phenomenal fishing, and the spring fishing proved exceptional this year for a variety of species. But this summer, things really took a weird turn as many fish never really went deep and frankly speaking, fishing is better shallow this summer for many folks, myself included.
