Tennessee needs an official “State Crustacean”

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Okay, I cannot lie. I am horribly jealous of folks in the state of Utah right now. As of March 17, Utah has an official “State Crustacean,” the brine shrimp.

Tennessee has a lot of official state creatures – two state birds, a state butterfly, two state fish, three state insects, a state horse, a state reptile, a state animal, even a state reptile and a state salamander. We do not, however, have a state crustacean.
