So far, I’m not too muddy. 

I managed somehow to keep the vast majority on my boots and the bottom of the canoe. Inevitably, however, river mud spreads to nearly every surface, like maple syrup served to a toddler. Traces can be found on my pants, hat, shirt, life jacket, and more.
