Simms: Hogs gone wild at Great Southern Outdoors Wildlife Plantation

I was pleased, but a little envious that someone else had put game on the ground. After spending nine hours in a blind, I was getting quite anxious to see one of my own. Three deer eased into the field I was hunting, but they weren’t the “target species.” We were there to kill wild hogs, animals that are a huge nuisance in Southern Alabama.The three deer were nervous, continually glancing off into the woods. When the deer finally bolted into the forest, it was clear to me that something else was coming. Rolling video, I panned my iPhone on its tripod to the right where the deer had been watching. Within seconds seven or eight big brown bodies rushed from the woods, clearly in a hurry
