STEWART COUNTY, Tenn. — They say lightning never strikes twice in the same place but you might have a hard time convincing Micka Burkhart of that.

For the second time in nine months, Burkhart broke the Tennessee State Record for blue catfish – a record that previously stood for 25 years.

Last September, Burkhart caught a blue catfish that was certified to weigh 118.7 pounds. The fish he caught Wednesday (June 28th, 2023) was certified at 122.3 pounds.
