Minelab’s Multi-IQ operates across the full spectrum of frequencies simultaneously for maximum results.

CHICAGO, IL (April 11, 2023) – Some metal detector manufacturers are no longer. Others have continued offering the same old thing for years. Minelab, however, has chosen to expand their product offerings and lean in on technology. One of these advanced technologies is Multi-IQ Simultaneous Multi-Frequency Technology.
Standard to the Minelab VANQUISH and EQUINOX series’, Multi-IQ combines the power of multiple detectors in one machine. All frequencies work at the same time so no terrain is off limits, regardless of what targets are being searched for and what areas are being hunted. Park, field, or beach can be searched with the same machine with equally great results. With Multi-IQ, you can detect all metals, all soils, all the time.
How does Minelab Multi-IQ technology work? Simply put, low frequencies typically give more depth on large targets, while high frequencies are more sensitive to small targets. This means the same machine can operate across the full spectrum of frequencies. This technology also handles saltwater, trash, and mineralized soil while finding preferred targets.
The Minelab VANQUISH series is simple enough for those just beginning the hobby, while being sophisticated enough for even experienced users. VANQUISH comes in three models – 340, 440, and 540. All are easily managed, weighing in at just over two and a half pounds. All have waterproof coils with the 340 and 440 coming standard with a 10” coil and the 540 with a 12” coil. The VANQUISH 540 also features rechargeable batteries. In all cases, you get Multi-IQ technology at an affordable price.

The Minelab EQUINOX series – 600 and 800 models – are equipped with Multi-IQ technology, too. The EQUINOX models are more expensive, but come with additional features. The EQUINOX 600 includes six custom search profiles, is compatible with Bluetooth earphones, has a rechargeable battery, and is fully submersible.
The EQUINOX 800 offers four search modes – park, field, beach, and gold – with eight search profiles. The advanced settings, modes, and frequencies can be changed at the touch of a button. It shows 50 segment notch discrimination on the screen. The EQUINOX 800 is one of the most popular detectors in the field since its introduction.
But Minelab is not a company to rest on its laurels. Just recently, the new EQUINOX 700 and 900 were released. Both models offer a three-piece carbon fiber collapsible shaft, advanced audio controls, are fully waterproof, and of course, are driven by Multi-IQ technology.
About the same time the new 700 and 900 EQUINOX models were released, Minelab introduced the highly sophisticated MANTICORE. This new waterproof detector is the most powerful, fastest, and precise metal detector in Minelab’s history. This machine features an upgraded Simultaneous Multi Frequency engine, called Multi-IQ+. This technology transmits more power through the coil at a wider range of operating frequencies to reveal more targets in the ground or water. It provides enhanced discrimination, greater target ID resolution, improved target separation, and much more.
These eight metal detector models allow a new or experienced detectorist the option of choosing a machine to cover whatever features he wants, with the best technology on the market, housed in a detector in a wide price range.
