Chattanooga’s Richard Britt recalls elk hunt of a lifetime

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Today (Feb. 22nd, 2023) is the last day to submit an application for one of fourteen 2023 Tennessee elk hunting permits.

However retired Chattanooga firefighter, Richard Britt, isn’t allowed to apply this year.

That is because Britt won the equivalent of the Tennessee hunter’s lottery last year. Today he is still reveling in memories of last year’s hunt of a lifetime.
